About Jamie

Jamie Curtis grew up in rural Estill, South Carolina. After graduating from Midlands Technical College in Columbia with an Associates Degree in Machine Tooling in 1998, he began his career at Robert Elliott Trucking, Inc.

Jamie was taken under the wing of owner, Mr. Robert Elliott, where he successfully worked his way up through the ranks of the company. He managed the day-to-day business for both sawmill residue products and the flatbed division, with a total fleet ranging in size from 35 to 50 units.

Jamie was over safety protocols and worked closely with insurance providers to operate a very safe and efficient trucking company. He successfully managed both workers’ compensation and liability insurance claims. Jamie always concentrated on putting safety first and building great relationships. He strove to consistently provide his insurance providers with accurate information and facts.

At the end of 2019, Robert Elliott Trucking, Inc. was purchased by another trucking company and Jamie moved on to start Heritage Transportation Risk Management.

His goal is to assist transportation insurance companies and trucking companies develop robust safety programs, sound risk management practices, solid accident investigation and reconstruction, and timely FMCSA and DOT compliance. His experience managing a trucking company in all aspects, along with his relationships with safety associations and insurance providers offer a lot to trucking companies.
